Services to Gaelic Music sponsored by Bòrd na Gàidhlig
We are celebrating Bliadhna nan Òran this year for its services to Gaelic music.

Hamish Henderson Services to Traditional Music Award
This award was introduced in 2003 to celebrate those special people whom Scottish traditional music couldn't do without. It was posthumously awarded to Hamish Henderson and thereafter known as "The Hamish Henderson Services to Traditional Music Award." In 2005 when the Hall of Fame was born we decided to bring the two awards together and insert recipients of both into the Hall of Fame.

Bill Wilkie

We have a dedicated website to the Hall of Fame. You can find it at http://www.tradmusichall.com/

The Nominations and Voting process is in two stages – both stages can be completed online:

Stage 1: Nominations: 5th October – 22nd October. Open to everyone. We would like you to pick up to 4 nominations from the field of Scottish traditional music for each of the 16 categories listed in the Nominations Form printed below within the time frame October 2009 to October 2010. You do not have to complete every category if you feel unqualified. You can only nominate online so please Nominate now!

Stage 2: Voting: 1st November – 20th November.

The results of Stage 1 of the nomination procedure will be collated and four nominations in each category will go forward to the Stage 2 voting process. The forms will be available online from Hands Up For Trad. The website will be open from 9am for voting on 1st November 2010.
