This highly popular residential
summer school is held at Wiston Lodge, Wiston, South Lanarkshire
(directions). It is now
in its seventh year and has a host of tutors from Charlie
McKerron to Karine Polwart to Liz Doherty to Corrina Hewat.
All instruments and singers of
all skill levels welcome. The tutors booked for Tinto 2009
are:
Gillian Frame (Fiddle, Song)
Martin Hunter (Accordion, Mixed)
Heather Downie (Piano, Mixed)
Adam Sutherland (Fiddle, Mixed)
Mark Neil (Guitar, Mixing and Recording)
Week includes musical BBQ, Ceilidh,
and ends with a totally fantastic students' concert! Cost
for week-long residential is £200 (£110 Conc.).
All the young people are looked
after in Wiston Lodge by our experienced and fun house staff.
